Representatives from 10 professional organizations also join the training, such as the Indonesian Clinical Nutrition Association (PDGKI), the Indonesian Nutritionists Association (Persagi), the Association of Indonesian Food Technology Experts (PATPI), and others.
The output of this training is to make representatives from university and professional organizations able to assist their regions in the efforts of stunting reduction along with regional assistants appointed by the Directorate General of Regional Development, Ministry of Home Affairs. They could also assist the government in the provincial and district levels based on request or by initiatives from universities through research and community service as part of Three Pillars of Higher Education (Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi).
Bappenas saw high demand for assistance from local governments. However, the resources that we currently have do not allow to fulfil all these requests. Therefore, master trainers from universities and professional organizations are expected to overcome these problems.
