Do Not Fear! Infant Services Open During COVID-19 Pandemic

Posyandu and Puskesmas services are vital for pregnant and breastfeeding women, further these services help mothers to prevent their babies from stunting. However, during COVID-19 pandemic mothers are advised to be more careful to access Posyandu and Puskesmas services.

If mothers are within PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar) area or there is some positive cases, it is better to delay visiting Posyandu for their services. Mothers still can journal their babies progress on Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA). If it is needed immediate respond, mothers can contact via telephone or request the health staffs for home-visit, or ask for immunisation.

Even though there is no positive cases and no PSBB. Mothers are still advised to be careful. Mothers are required to social distancing and to follow recommended pandemic protocol.

Hence, mothers, children and also family’s health are looked after even when stay at home requirement is in place.
